It's been a while. I miss seeing rectangle pages around the galleries. There certainly aren't many.

Monday find: syapotter
Work It Girls!
I found syapotter's gallery at DST. I love her use of color and the fact that she adds journaling to most of her pages. She also has many multi-photo pages, which I favor!

New Year, New Blog
I am going to be blogging at a new location starting now. I hope you'll follow me over to Twisty Medium. I needed a new blog name to reflect my varying interests. Maybe I'll still use this blog to post cool rectangle layouts.
See you there!

I Wish...
...that people would be as kind as they are right now all year long. Today when I took the girls to Starbucks for a hot chocolate treat after shopping, a couple offered us their table, and another man brought me a chair (since their weren't enough) and wished me Merry Christmas. Wow. Very cool.
...that Christmas could stop being about presents.
...that people could learn how to communicate with each other. Say what you think, in a kind and respectful way, but just say it already! LOL
...that my girls could stay 6 1/2 for a lot longer. They are so much fun right now.
What do you wish?

2009 Calendar Project
I actually got a bunch of Christmas presents done early this year! I used Traci Reed & Kristin Cronin-Barrow's new collection of mini-kits called A Month at a Time. It's a super big collection!
I had the calendars made at Shutterfly and they came out really well - great quality.

A Month of Magic, one week at a time!
Celebrate the magic of the holiday season by recording the little
things that make it special. A Month of Magic is designed to document
each day in December with minimal effort and time. I've done all the
work for you! One set is 12x12 and can easily be resized to 8x8 for
home printing. I also made an 8.5x11 version for you rectangle
scrappers (like me!). The set can also be used for non-holiday pages by
simply
adding
your own papers and elements.
This set is the first of four in a series. A new set will be released each week for four weeks.
The set includes:
-7 layered templates in psd and tif formats
-7 date number circles in 4 colors
-1 font (Pea Stacy)
-3 pieces of word art
-1 doodle
-text paths on most templates
All
of these will be 50% off through Thursday, so don't miss the savings!
Have a great week!

Quote of the day
You never know what you might hear two six year olds discussing...
(overheard from the next room)
"When John McCain is president, Barack Obama can be his helper."
"Yes, Barack Obama can clean John McCain's potty!"
Oh my. I don't really see that happening, do you? Should I email this in to the McCain campaign? My kids can become the next "Joe the Plumber" (who is from my city, BTW).
Rob and I discuss politics some, but I try not to be negative about either candidate in front of the kids. After all, one of those men is going to be our next president and we need to respect him and pray for him. Anyone who wants that job is a special kind of person.
For some reason Heidi decided that she wants John McCain to be president. When I asked her why, she said that his name sounds like a president's name, and he looks like a president. Okay, that's fair. How many of our presidents have had the first name John? LOL
So, on election day, the girls will go with me to vote, as they always have, we'll vote for McCain and see what happens. No matter what, our country is going to be okay. God is in control.
